Install ShipsBy & add the block to your theme

About 3 minutes, no code. Two parts: install the app, then place the block on your product page.

Part 1 — Install the app

  1. Open the ShipsBy listing on the Shopify App Store and click Install.
  2. Shopify shows the permissions screen. ShipsBy requests the minimum possible access — it never reads customer or order data. Click Install app.
  3. You land on the ShipsBy dashboard inside your Shopify admin. The onboarding checklist walks you through the two remaining steps: setting your first delivery rule and adding the block to your theme.

Plans and trial: you start on the Free plan. If you pick Growth or Pro, the 14-day free trial starts immediately and billing is handled by Shopify on your regular invoice. See pricing.

Part 2 — Add the ShipsBy block in the theme editor

ShipsBy is a Theme App Extension: you place it visually, and nothing is ever written into your theme's code files.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. On your current theme, click Customize to open the theme editor.
  3. In the top-center dropdown (it usually says “Home page”), select Products → Default product. Your product template opens.
  4. In the left sidebar, inside the Product information section, click ⊕ Add block.
  5. Switch to the Apps tab and pick ShipsBy — Delivery estimate.
  6. Drag the block where you want it. Most stores get the best results directly under the Buy buttons — the shopper sees the delivery promise at the exact moment of decision.
  7. Click Save (top right).

Multiple product templates? If you use several product templates (e.g. one for made-to-order items), repeat the steps above for each template that should show the widget.

Optional — add the cart block Pro

  1. Still in the theme editor, switch the template dropdown to Cart.
  2. Click ⊕ Add block in the cart section, open the Apps tab, and pick ShipsBy — Cart estimate.
  3. Place it near the checkout button and Save.

Part 3 — Verify it works

  1. Open any product page on your storefront (use a private/incognito window to see it like a visitor).
  2. You should see the widget, e.g. “Order within 3h 12m — arrives between Tue, Jul 14 and Thu, Jul 16”. On the Free plan you'll see the date range without the countdown.
  3. If nothing shows, walk through the troubleshooting checklist — it's almost always the block not being added to the template in use.

Next step: configure your delivery rules so the dates match your real fulfillment schedule.
