Do I need a carrier integration to show delivery dates?
No. ShipsBy computes estimates from rules you set yourself: your order cutoff time, processing time in business days, transit time per shipping zone, holidays, and non-shipping days. You already know these numbers from your fulfillment routine — no carrier account, API key, or tracking integration is required.
How does ShipsBy calculate delivery dates?
ShipsBy starts from the current time in your store's timezone. If the order is placed before your cutoff time, processing starts the same business day; otherwise it starts the next one. It then adds your processing days (skipping non-shipping days and holidays) to find the dispatch date, and adds the minimum and maximum transit days for the visitor's zone to produce a date range like “arrives between Tue, Jul 14 and Thu, Jul 16”. Does ShipsBy work with my Shopify theme?
Yes. ShipsBy is a Theme App Extension block, the modern Shopify standard. You add it from the theme editor with drag and drop — no code is injected into your theme files, and uninstalling leaves no leftover code. It works with Online Store 2.0 themes including Dawn and other free Shopify themes.
What customer data does ShipsBy collect?
None. ShipsBy stores only your shop domain, the delivery settings you enter, and an aggregate daily count of widget impressions. It never collects, stores, or processes buyer personal data — no names, emails, addresses, orders, or individual browsing data. Details in the privacy policy.
Can I show different delivery times for made-to-order or preorder products?
